PURPOSE: To effectively reutilize a sludge by producing sintered soil used for horticultural soil, etc., having a high product value from a dehydrated sludge prepared by dehydrating the sludge generated from a water purifying plant or the sludge, etc., deposited on a river, a lake, a marsh, etc., as a raw material.
CONSTITUTION: This method for producing sintered soil from a dehydrated sludge as a raw material comprises a disintegrating step for disintegrating a dehydrated sludge as a raw material until the amount of particles having ≤5mm particle diameter attains ≥50%, a primary drying step for drying the resultant disintegrated material until a required water content attains by indirect heating, a granulating step for granulating the primarily dried material into aggregatelike pellets with a stirring type granulator, a secondary drying step for drying the pellets to ≤10% moisture content and a burning step for burning the dried pellets at 800-1100°C burning temperature.
