Abstract:
PURPOSE:To achieve automatic distribution of desired cells accurately, by identifying an abnormal distribution of parameters involving selection within a cell selection area based on statistic variables. CONSTITUTION:First, a sample of a healthy person is measured and a standard cell selection area is set to calculate statistic variables. Subsequently, when a sample to be inspected is set on a cell analyzer, it flow through a flowcell 2 together with a sheath liquid and the intensity I0 of forward scattered light, that I90 of 90 deg. scattered light, that Ir of red fluorescence and that Ig of green fluorescence are measured with a photomultiplier tubes 7a-7d to be stored into a memory circuit 13. The intensities I0 and I90 of scattered light undergoes an analysis processing and a sightgram is shown on a display section 17 with the intensities I0 and I90 of scattered light as coordinates. Subsequently, cells belonging to a set area is subjected to a statistic computation processing with a computing circuit 16. Then, it is determined with an identification circuit 19 that data of the intensities I0 and I90 of scattered light are distributed correctly in the area by identification in comparison with a reference value obtained from the sample of a healthy person.
