PURPOSE: To make it possible to reduce both load loss and impedance error, by series-connecting a tap winding to a connecting part connecting between both ends of a primary winding so that the tap winding is in series relation to a secondary winding.
CONSTITUTION: Both ends of a primary winding 1 are connected together through a connecting part 7. A tap winding 6 is series-connected to this connected member through the connecting part 7 such as to be in series relation to secondary windings 2A, 2B as split windings. Thus, when taps are changed over from one to another through a tap changer 5a, no closed circuit is formed between the winding 6 and the tap changer 5a, so that no circulating current flows through the winding 6. Accordingly, it is possible to reduce both load loss and impedance error.
