The solid correction tool contains at least a masking agent, wax, and hydrolyzed collagen as main components. The masking agent, which is used for masking characters etc., is selected, for example, from white pigments including titanium dioxide. The wax, which is used to improve coating performance, is selected, for example, from various kinds of natural wax and synthetic wax. The hydrolyzed collagen, which is used to prevent blurring of rewritten characters and to accelerate drying of written characters, is obtained, for example, by the hydrolysis of collagen with acid.
