Abstract:
PURPOSE:To set a copying condition with high accuracy by adjusting an exposure quantity by using a characteristic data which is generated by a copy concentration value and the exposure quantity obtained by the first scan. CONSTITUTION:For instance, in case of blue, when a correct exposure quantity is supplied, a copy concentration value D1 contained in two points of the middle of the copy concentration of four points is determined in advance, an exposure quantity E1 corresponding to this concentration value D1 is derived from a characteristic data, and by adding a prescribed exposure quantity alpha to said exposure quantity, an exposure quantity EW1 of a white level is derived. Subse quently, color filters Y, M and C are inserted into an optical path so that the obtained blue exposure quantity W1, green exposure quantity W2 and red expo sure quantity W3 coincide with the blue exposure quantity EW1, green exposure quantity EW2 and red exposure quantity EW3 of a white level, and a copying condition is set. In such a way, the copying condition can be set with high accuracy.
