Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve high-speed turning performance on dry or wet road surface by setting the negative ratio of a tread pattern formed on the tread of a front- wheel tire so as to be higher than the negative ratio of the tread pattern formed on the tread of the rear-wheel tire. CONSTITUTION:A combination body 1 of an automobile and tires is formed of a lateral pair of front-wheel tires 1F and a lateral pair of rear-wheel tires 1R. The front and rear axles 2 are connected each other by a body 3. In this case, each front-wheel tire 1F is provided with a main channel 7 and translots 9 on the tread to form a tread pattern 10, and the negative ratio NF of the tread pattern 10 is set so as to be, for example, 10% as the whole, 12% in the inside area 5b, and 0% in the outside area 5d, respectively. Each rear-wheel tire 1R is provided with many sipe 11 on a land part 8 of the tread 5 to form the tread pattern 10, and the negative ratio NR of the tread pattern 10 is set so as to be, for example, 0. Further, each negative ratio NF, NR is set to have the relation of NF>NR.
