PURPOSE: To improve the brightness of a display picture and the picture quality of the display picture in the display image pickup device in which coincidence of visual lines is realized by a screen in which the light transmission state or the scattering state is selected.
CONSTITUTION: A screen 3 is provided with a Fresnel lens 6 comprising a Fresnel lens structure section 6a at the surrounding and a flat section 6b in the middle. The display by a projection type display device 1 is implemented through the Fresnel lens structure section 6a when the screen 3 is in the scattering state, then a brightness difference in the display of the surrounding part and the middle part of the screen 3 is reduced to improve the picture quality. On the other hand, the image of the user M picked up by an image pickup device 2 is implemented through the flat section 6a having no Fresnel lens structure in the light transmission state of the screen 3, and the coincidence of visual lines in the image pickup is realized without effect of a field angle by a Fresnel lens.
