Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combustion method of an industrial combustion equipment which enable practical application of a novel form of combustion for an industrial combustion furnace by air for high temperature combustion exceeding 800-900 deg.C. SOLUTION: Air for combustion to be supplied to combustion equipment is preheated by a high-cycle regenerative combustion system 1 and the preheated air for combustion is introduced into a combustion area 30 to cause and maintain a burning reaction. Air for low temperature combustion to be supplied to the combustion area and a combustion exhaust gas in the combustion area of the combustion equipment alternately pass through storage bodies 11 and 12 and passages 13 and 14 built in a honeycomb structure to contact a honeycomb wall for thermal transmission. The thickness and the interval of the honeycomb wall are set at a specified value below 1.6mm and 5mm. The switching time of the combustion system is set to specified time below 60sec. and the temperature efficiency of the heat storage bodies indicates a value within a range of 0.7-1.0. The air for combustion is preheated up to a super high temperature area above 800 deg.C, preferably above 950 deg.C by heat exchange with the combustion exhaust gas and a fuel for combustion is supplied to a high temperature preheated air flow to cause a burning reaction in the combustion area while the reaction is maintained.
