Abstract:
PURPOSE:To attain the remote monitoring and the remote control of a node equipment by connecting a monitoring device to one channel of the node equipment and a connection control means and giving an address defined to specify the node equipment in the communication network to the monitoring device. CONSTITUTION:The monitoring device 13 is connected to other terminal equipment via a node equipment 10, receives a request from the terminal equipment, reads and returns the state of its own node equipment 10, or sends a control signal to initialize the node equipment 10. Each node equipment added with the monitoring device 13 is connected to a terminal equipment 14 through a transmission line 12 or to other node equipment 10 to form a two-dimensional or three-dimensional grid communication network. The monitoring device 13 is connected to the input/output port of the node equipment 10 and an address is given similarly as a general terminal equipment, the communication function is provided and an input signal is received from a work station or the like and when the address is received, a reply signal is replied and the state of the node equipment belonging to itself is outputted depending on the request of the origin of the call and in the case of initializing, BOT signal is outputted to the node equipment 10.
