Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a printer capable of avoiding deviation of printing position.
CONSTITUTION: A linear encoder 11 storing information of printing position, a printer carriage 4 slidably supported and a pick-up device 10, which is mounted on the printer carriage 4 and reads the information stored in the linear encoder 11, are provided so that the printing position is controlled on the basis of the information read by the pick-up device 10.
