PURPOSE: To adjust the thickness of a thick-thickness part to a proper value, and to locally change the thickness along the circumference of a fluid passing hole by laminating a metallic plate provided with a folding part and a metallic plate provided with a step difference, on the circumferential periphery of the fluid passing hole.
CONSTITUTION: A first metallic plate 4 provided with a folding part 6 along the circumferential periphery of a fluid passing hole 2, and a second metallic plate 5 provided with a recessed part 7 having a step difference T2 that is smaller than the thickness T1 of the folding part along the circumferential periphery of the fluid passing hole 2 are laminated so as to be opposite to each other in such a way that the folding part 6 is fitted in the recessed part 7, so that a thick-thickness part of the thickness (T1-T2) is formed on the circumference of the fluid passing hole 2. As an alternative, the step difference T2 of the recessed part 7 is changed along the circumference of the fluid passing hole 2 so as to form a thick-thickness part in which the thickness changes along the circumference of the fluid passing hole 2. Thus, the working of a metal gasket can be easily carried out by utilizing the ordinary working method, and also the thickness of the thick-thickness part can be changed, for instance, in accordance with the tightening force of a bolt.
