PURPOSE: To provide a cooling apparatus for storing grain capable of preventing lowering of quality, excellent in keeping quality and suitable for storage of rice, wheat, etc., by storing previously cooled grains in a storage tank, leading cooling air to the storage tank, feeding data of temperature sensor back to a heat exchanger and controlling the cooling source.
CONSTITUTION: This apparatus is obtained by providing a primary heat exchanger 3 and a secondary heat exchanger 4 utilizing cooling source and storing grains 1 previously cooled by a secondary heat exchanger 4 in a state loaded in bulk in a storage tank 2 and leading cooling air cooled by the primary heat exchanger 3 to the storage tank 2 by a blower 5 and piping, passing direct cooling air through layers of grains 1 loaded in bulk, arranging a temperature sensor 7, feeding data of the temperature sensor 7 back to the primary heat exchanger 3 and the secondary heat exchanger 4 and controlling the cooling source. Furthermore, air-passing globes obtained by perforating a number of holes smaller than size of grains in hollow steel globes ARE preferably mixed in grains 1 loaded in bulk.
