Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent a key from being illegally shared by a 3rd party pretendedly by calculating ID information of an opposite station opened in public and a storage value stored in a secret information storage memory of its own station to generate a common key. CONSTITUTION:When a station A2 subscribes a network or a system, the station A2 sends ID information IDA to a center 1. The center 1 applies prescribed calculation, sends a value alphaA as a storage value to a secret information storage memory 3 in the station A2 and lists up a value GA on a public list 4 together with the ID information IDA. The station A2 uses the ID information IDB of an opposite station B5 whose common key is desired to be generated and an open value GB in public to apply prescribed calculation, uses the storage value alphaA being secret information of the station A2 itself stored in the secret information storage memory 3 to generate a common key. The common key is shared not through a communication line 7 and the key is used for coding/decoding.
