Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reduce the impulsive load and inpulsive noises produced at the time of starting, by applying a specific control on rotation of a starting motor of an inertia sliding type starting apparatus, and reducing the speed at which a pinion gear comes into mesh with a ring gear.

CONSTITUTION: With closing of a switch 7, current is supplied from a power source 1 simultaneously to each of a differentiating circuit 8 and a delay circuit 9 of a control circuit 4. At first, a transistor 6a is turned ON by the output of the circuit 8, and during the while, a contact 3 is closed through energization of a coil 3a, so that a magnet switch 3 is turned ON. When the charging voltage of a capacitor 16 in the circuit 9 becomes greater than the yield voltage of a diode 17 after the switch 3 is turned OFF, the switch 3 is turned ON again through energization of a transistor 6b. Resultantly, the speed of rotation of a motor 2 is changed as shown at (b) in the drawing. That is, the speed of the motor 2 has been lowered at a time instant t1 when a pinion gear comes into mesh to a ring gear. When these two gears are engaged with each other and an engine is started, the switch 7 is released.
