PURPOSE:To obtain the cyclic olefinic copolymer composition having improved shock resistance and excellent transparency by using a specific hydrocarbon elastomer and a specific cyclic olefinic polymer composition. CONSTITUTION:The composition is obtained by effecting copolymerization of (A) (i) an alpha-olefin of 2 or more carbon atoms and (ii) a cyclic olefin of formula I (n is 0, 1; m is 0 or a positive integer; g is 0, or 1; each of R<1> to R<18>, R, R is H, halogen, where R<15> to R<18> may link to each other to form a mono- or polycyclic ring), formula II (p, g are 0, 1 or more; m, n are 0 to 2; each of R<1> to R<19> is H, halogen) in the presence of (A) a hydrocarbon elastomer which has an intrinsic viscosity (eta) of 0.05 to 10dl/g, which is measured in decalin at 135 deg.C, a glass transition point (Tg) of lower than 10 deg.C, and polymerizable double bonds of 3 to 30 iodine value (in g iodine/100g polymer) where the amount of component A is adjusted to 1 to 50wt.% based on the total weight.
