PURPOSE: To obtain a motor counter-electromotive force absorption circuit wherein the motor terminal voltage will not exceed the supply voltage or fall below the grounding voltage even at the occurrence of counter-electromotive force and the rotational accuracy of the motor is thus improved.

CONSTITUTION: The motor connection terminals of a motor drive circuit are provided with a counter-electromotive force detection circuit 6 and counter- electromotive force absorption circuit 7. Thus the drive circuit is so constituted that only the counter-electromotive force absorption 7 circuit is activated when counter-electromotive force is generated.
