Abstract:

PURPOSE: To effect simple separation and purification of oligonucleotide by allowing the second molecule having a nucleic acid base complementary sequence to be adsorbed to the monomolecular membrane of the first molecule having a specific nucleic acid base sequence and separating the complementary sequence.

CONSTITUTION: A monomolecular membrane is formed with the first molecule 1 having a specific nucleic acid base sequence on a base plate 10. The second molecule 2 having the sequence complementary to the first molecule 1 is adsorbed through their hydrogen bonds on the mono molecular membrove to separate only the second molecule from its mixture with the third molecule 3. Then, the hydrogen bonds between the nucleic acid bases are broken by water rinsing to effect the desorption of the second molecule whereby the second molecule is isolated.
