PURPOSE: To record and reproduce at the same position without being conscious of a cassette by making terminal positions in recording medium cassettes incorporating a printed circuit board loading an IC and the printed circuit board loading no IC the same, and keeping conpatibility.
CONSTITUTION: The printed circuit board 17 loading no IC is fitted in a recessed part 15 provided on the bottom surface wall 8 of a cassette case 2 and arranged and fixed. Further, the printed circuit board 20 loading the IC loads a terminal group 21 and the IC 22, and its planar shape and size are formed so as to fall into the recessed part 15 on the bottom surface wall 8 in the cassette case 2 roughly completely similarly to the printed circuit board 17. The terminal group 21 on the board 20 is constituted of brief shelf-like contact points 21a-21b and these contact points are aligned and formed in the direction of left and right, and an array interval between the contact points correspond to slit shape holes 16 on the cassette case 2. Thus, cassette positions incorporating the printed circuit board loading the IC and the printed circuit board loading no IC are made the same.
