Abstract:

PURPOSE:To simplify the structure and facilitate the inspection and repair by providing a generator disposed in a pressure resisting vessel so as to be driven by rotation of a hydraulic turbine, and a pump disposed in the pressure resisting vessel to send the sea water in the pressure resisting vessel to the out-side. CONSTITUTION:A body facility A is landed on the sea bottom of a deep sea, and generation and storage of electricity are conducted by taking in and out the sea water. At the time of generation, a hydraulic turbine 15 and a generator 16 are rotated by the external high pressure seawater to perform hydraulic power generation, and the seawater is introduced into tank 14. The generated power is sent to a transformer facility on the ground through a generator 18. At the time of storage, a pump 19 is rotated by an electric motor 20 by use of the power from the transformer facility, and the seawater stored in the tank 14 is discharged to the sea which is the outside field. The storing operation is conducted by excess power in the night, and the generating operation is conducted at consumed power peak time in the daytime. Hence, the siting point is never limited, the structure is simple and inexpensive, the inspection and repair are easy, and electric generation can be performed at an extremely high efficiency.
