PURPOSE: To efficiently conduct plant culture using a specific mat excellent in handleability by embedding such pot culturing mat in a pot followed by pouring water on the pot to leach the nutrients in the mat into the inside of the pot, thus obviating the necessity of direct hand touch or seeding in the soil.

CONSTITUTION: The objective pot culturing mat 10 can be obtained by solidifying water-soluble nutrients which are, in turn, rolled in a fibrous mat. This mat 10 is designed to leach the nutrients out of the mat by wetting it with water. The other objective plant culture can be conduced by embedding this mat 10 in a pot 20 followed by pouring water on the pot to leach the nutrients into the inside of the pot.
