Abstract:

The invention relates to a method of diagnosing a malignant disorder or its precursor stages. The aim is to develop a diagnostic procedure for malignant disorders and their precursor stages which causes no pain or discomfort to the patient. This is done by plotting a blood cell size histogram in venous and arterial blood which for a particular blood cell type gives the percentage of cells of between 6 and 16 micron in size for both arterial and venous blood, multiplies the values obtained for arterial and venous blood separately with a weighting factor and adds them up and forms the linear combinations of the sums for arterial and venous blood.
