PURPOSE: To facilitate the adjustment work of a feed forward amplifier by providing a half-fixed phase shifter in the preceding stage of a main amplifier and that of an auxiliary amplifier.
CONSTITUTION: A first half-fixed phase shifter 4 which initially adjusts the phase deviation between the output of a main amplifier 5 and the opposite phase of the output of a first delay line 6 is inserted and connected to the preceding stage of the main amplifier 5, and a second half-fixed phase shifter 10 which initially adjusts the phase deivation between the output of an auxiliary amplifier 11 and the opposite phase of the output of a second delay line 12 is inserted and connected to the preceding stage of the auxiliary amplifier 11. Half-fixed phase shifters 4 and 10 are provided in this manner to correct the phase deviation, which is caused at the time of connecting the main amplifier 5 and the auxiliary amplifier 11 of a feed forward amplifier and delay lines 6 and 12 in opposite phases, with variable phase devices 3 and 8 set to center values. Thus, it is unnecessary to correct it by the main amplifier 5 and the auxiliary amplifier 11, delay lines 6 and 12, or the like, and characteristics are stabilized, and the adjustment work is facilitated.
