CONSTITUTION: Magnetic gaps g1, g2 and g3 are confronted with the sliding- contact surface 1a of a magnetic recording medium. A magnetic head part 5 consisting of a front core 1 having legs 1b and 1c on the confronting face side and a back core 2 forming a closed magnetic circuit with the front core 1 and a couple of slider members 6 and 7 for clamping the front core 1 on the surface 1a side joined and integrated are provided. The thickness W2 of the front core on the back side of the zero-depth position of the magnetic gap is made larger than the thickness W1 of the front core on the surface 1a side.
