Title:
SOLENOID OPERATED BRAKE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS596437
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent chattering or sliding noise by equipping the guide to be fastened to the disc by bolt with spline teeth having a similar form to the ring. CONSTITUTION:When a coil 1 is energized, a disc 4 is attracted by the coil 1 to cause application of brakes. When energization is released, the disc 4 separates from a friction plate 3 owing to the force of a return spring 10 to stand free for rotation. The brake stroke G is set by utilization of the spring force of a C-type stop ring. A guide 8 fastened to the above mentioned disc 4 by a bolt 6 together with a ring 5 is equipped with spline teeth having a similar form to this ring 5. Accordingly the gap to a spline collar 11 (backlash) can be reduced to a minor dimension, and the spline length L, prolonged. Thus chattering or sliding noise can be prevented.
