Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve the ability to exclude illegal use by dividing a cipher code into plural parts, and collating them individually and making a true/false decision. CONSTITUTION:When an ID card 4 is inserted into a terminal equipment 1, its identification number ID and cipher number part ra1 are read and stored in buffers 5 and 6 respectively. When cipher numbers pw1 and pw2 are inputted with push buttons 8, they are sent to a matching circuit 7 and a buffer 12 respectively. The pw1 is collated 7 with the input from the buffer 6 by a collator 7; when they do not coincide with each other, following operation is stopped and when they coincide with each other, the ID in the buffer 5 and the pw2 in the buffer 12 are sent to a CPU3. The CPU3 reads a cipher number part pw2 specified by the ID in a cipher number file 13 on the basis of the sent ID; when they do not coincide with each other, following operation is inhibited and when they coincide, an indication of next operation is sent to the terminal 1. Thus, the exclusion of illegal use is enhanced.
