PURPOSE: To stabilize the quality of a product produced by a paper machine, improve both the operating efficiency and the productivity of the paper machine and enable the reduction in equipment for removing dust by eliminating slimes or kinks of fiber.

CONSTITUTION: In an apparatus for feeding a papermaking stock to a stock inlet 17 for feeding the stock liquid to a paper machine 16 according to a proper concentration of the paper machine, at least one dispersing screen 15 having a prescribed round hole diameter or a slit width is installed before the stock inlet 17 and a fine screen 4 composed of a narrow screen is provided between a stock level box 5 and a machine chest 2 in a circulating line passage, including the stock level box connected to the circulating line passage and the machine chest and used for feeding the papermaking stock to the dispersing screen 15. Thereby, the objective apparatus for removing dust is obtained. The retention of slimes and fiber lumps is not caused in the interior of the screen and an approach flow pipe and excellent dust removing performance can be manifested to uniformly disperse the stock. The quality of the formed paper product can be stabilized and the contribution td simplification of the equipment can be made.
