Abstract:
PURPOSE:To set data quickly in a display apparatus having a world clock. CONSTITUTION:A world clock device 21 automatically corrects the time differences of a plurality of the regions in the world. A region selecting means 22 selects the region. A selecting means 23 selects arbitrary alphabet letters in at least three digits. A display means 24 displays the marks indicating the selected alphabet letters and the selected region. A memory means 25 stores the three-letter code of at least one city belonging to one of a plurality of the regions. A control means 26 selects the certain region, calls up specified one code in the stored three-letter codes only when the uppermost letter of the three-letter code, which is stored at least at the uppermost position of the three-digit alphabet letters, is selected, and displays the code on the display means. A comparator 27 compares the selected alphabet letter with the stored three-letter code. A device 26 forcibly interrupts and displays the time of the belonging region and the mark of the region when the agreement is obtained in the comparison.
