Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve abrasion resistance without impairing freeness or wire marking properties by arranging weft yarns in the two upper and lower layers, forming long crimps of the weft yarns in the lower layer on the running surface and placing interweaving positions of the weft yarns in the lower layer so as not to be adjacent between the adjacent weft yarns. CONSTITUTION:Weft yarns are arranged in the two upper and lower layers and weft yarns 1' in the lower layer are interwoven once in the weave with a pair of adjacent weft yarns 7 and 8 to form knucles. Warp yarns 2' are then interwoven once in the weave with a pair of the adjacent weft yarns 2 and 4 to form knucles. Both the weft yarns 1' and 2' form long crimps on the running surface and positions where the weft yarns 1' are interwoven and positions where the weft yarns 2' are interwoven are shifted so as not be adjacent. In a complete design figure, marks O indicate positions where the warp yarns interweave the weft yarns on the running surface and marks X indicate positions where the warp yarns interweave the weft yarns on the paper making surface.
