Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve abrasion resistance without impairing freeness or wire marking properties by arranging weft yarns in the two upper and lower layers, placing weft yarns without interweaving projecting weft yarns on the running surface and arranging positions of the weft yarns in the lower layer so as not to be adjacent between the adjacent weft yarns. CONSTITUTION:Weft yarns are arranged in the two upper and lower layers and a weft yarn 1' in the lower layer is interwoven in the weave between warp yarns 13 and 15 to form knucles. A weft yarn 2' in the lower layer is interwoven in the weave between the warp yarns 11 and 13 to form knucles. Warp yarns 14 and 12 without interweaving the weft yarns in the lower layer are respectively sandwiched between the warp yarns 13 and 15 and 11 and 13. The warp yarns 13 and 15 and 11 and 13 respectively form pairs to strongly bend the weft yarns in the lower layer. Positions of the respective interwoven weft yarns in the lower layer are shifted and arranged so as not to be adjacent between the adjacent weft yarns. In a complete design figure, marks O indicate positions where the warp yarns interweave the weft yarns on the running surface and marks X indicate positions where the warp yarns interweave the weft yarns on the paper making surface.
