Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent upper-layer weft yarns from their being depressed on a papermaking surface and obtain the subject cloth forming a smooth papermaking surface without any recessed parts by forming long crimps in the upper-layer weft yarns and forming crimps having a length of 3 or more warp yarns by a specific method. CONSTITUTION:Each warp yarn is arranged so that the adjacent 2 upper-layer weft yarns may be woven by one warp yarn and the upper-layer weft yarns weaving the initial warp yarn may be woven by the next adjacent warp yarn. Thereby, long crimps and short crimps are alternately arranged in the respective upper-layer weft yarns. Since the mutual long crimps and short crimps adjacently arranged in the adjacent upper-layer weft yarns are prevented from adjoining, regular arrangement of crimps in the oblique direction of the warp yarns formed on the upper-layer weft yarns on the papermaking surface is divided into sections by the long crimps of the upper-layer weft yarns to prevent marks in the oblique direction from occurring in paper.
