Title:
SILVER HALIDE PHOTOGRAPHIC SENSITIVE MATERIAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0764220
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To restrain the occurrence of roller marks and to enhance sharpness by specifying each composition of an emulsion layer and its emulsion and a support.

CONSTITUTION: The emulsion layer comprises flat silver halide grains having an aspect ratio of 1-5 and amounting to at least ≥50% of the projection areas of the total silver halide grains and this emulsion is spectrally sensitized with the compounds represented by formulae I and/or II in which each of Z1 and Z2 is a nonmetallic atomic group necessary to form a benzo- or naphtho-xaZole ring; each of R1 and R2 is alkyl or aralkyl; X is a charge-balancing counter ion; n is 0 or 1; each of R3 and R4 is 1-5 C alkyl or the like; and each of V1 and V2 is H, alkyl, or the like. The support comprises the copolymer of terephthalic acid and ethylene glycol and the compound represented by formula III in which R5 is 1-20 C alkyl or the like; L is 0 or the like; Y is -CO2- or the like; X1 is -CON(R6)R7 or the like; R6 is H or alkyl; and R7 is H, cycloalkyl, or the like.
