Abstract:
The invention relates to an endoprosthesis (50) comprising a hydrogel polymer coating (52) into which a drug (8) is incorporated and the use of such an endoprosthesis (50) for the manufacture of a drug delivery system for delivering drug (8) to tissue of a body lumen (54). The use of such an endoprothesis (50) for the manufacture of a drug delivery system for use in the treatment of atherosclerosis and for use in angioplasty is also disclosed.
