PURPOSE: To always realize stable conveying accuracy by reducing action of extruding a rear end of paper by paired conveying rollers, in a paper conveyer holding the paper conveyed by the paired coneying rollers comprising a drive roller and a pressure contact driven roller.

CONSTITUTION: A drive roller 31 is supported on a bearing member 33 fixed to a device main unit, and a pressure contact driven roller 32 is supported on a bearing member 35 slidable in directions B1, B2 relating to the bearing member 33, to energize the bearing member 35 always in the direction B1 by a spring 36. Further as a damper means for relaxing a moving speed in the direction B1 of the bearing member 33 based on the compression spring 36, the means has a sloped surface 42 formed in the bearing member 33, elastic deformation part 43 integrally provided in the bearing member 35 and a sloped surface 44 formed in a side surface of the part 43 to oppose to the sloped surface 42, to apply viscous oil to the sloped surfaces 42, 44. In elastic force (restoring force) of the elastic deformation part 43, damper action is generated only against moving to the direction B1 of the bearing member 35.
