PURPOSE: To assure high reproducibility in a relation between a power system and instrument operation each synchrotron by providing means for synchronizing the operation of a converter with that of the power system and dividing and multiplying the frequency of the power system.

CONSTITUTION: Among mutually corresponding electromagnets of synchrotron 1 and 2, deflection electromagnet 10 and 20 are connected to each other by an energy transfer equipment 3, focusing quadrupole electromagnets 11 and 21 are connected to each other by an energy transfer equipment 4, divergent quadrupole electromagnets 12 and 22 are connected to each other by an energy transfer equipment 5. Energy conversion is performed in transient condition between a flat base and a flat top. This operation is controlled synchronously by a control equipment 30 and a pulse generator 31 since it has close relation to a normal excitation power supply. The generator 31 divides AC frequency f of a power system 41 to produce a operation signal f/n and multiply f by N by using PLL so that a clock signal Hf for controlling the ignition of a thyristor converter and updating a control command value.
