Title:
SUPERCONDUCTIVE MAGNETIC STRUCTURAL BODY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0670908
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To maximize a bore in a magnet structure with a minimum diameter, to reduce a diameter of the magnet structure and to make a correction to preemphasis simple. CONSTITUTION: This superconducting magnet structure is a hollow and cylindrical vacuum vessel 40. An annular, low-temperature cell 60 which contains liquid helium occupies the central part of the vacuum vessel and is sealed against the vacuum vessel so that the liquid helium may not be attracted to the vacuum area. A plurality of magnets 56 are accommodated in the low-temperature cell immersed in the liquid helium, and the magnets generate a magnetic field in the bore of the vacuum vessel. Cold shields 44 and 50 are installed in the vacuum vessel, surrounding the low-temperature cell. A main magnetic field shield coil 66 is placed outside the annular superconducting magnet in the low- temperature cell in order to erase a magnetic field around the magnet generated by the annular magnet.
