Title:
PRESSURE-SENSITIVE ADHESIVE COMPOSITION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0693239
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a pressure-sensitive adhesive showing excellent tackiness even in the presence of water not to mention in the absence of water.

CONSTITUTION: A pressure-sensitive adhesive comprises an emulsion of a (meth) acrylic copolymer having ≤-40°C glass transition temperature obtained by subjecting a monomer mixture of (a) 70-99.9wt.% one or more (meth)acrylic monomers having <2g/100g water solubility at 25°C, (b) 0.1-10wt.% polyfunctional monomer and (c) 0-20wt.% one or more ethylenic unsaturated monomers except the components (a) and (b) to emulsion polymerization by reacting only a reactive surfactant as a surfactant in the presence of a radical polymerization initiator as a main component.
