PURPOSE: To reduce the cost without a decline in the function of a rice cooker by a method wherein an inner lid of an inner pot is provided as an integral part of an outer lid which forms part of a lid main body of the rice cooker, the circumferential part of the inner lid comes in press-contact with the heater position on the shoulder part of the cooker main body when the inner lid is in closed state, and the inner lid is removable from the cooker main body.

CONSTITUTION: An automatic rice cooker 1 is controlled by a microcomputer. To make a single inner lid 2a supported on an inner lid support member 201 also serve as a inner pot lid, the inner lid 2a is in close contact with the rim of an opening 4a of an inner pot 4 and is pressed by an inner lid pressing spring 2a2 to seal the inner pot 4 tight with the inner lid 2a. Thus, the constitution of the rice cooker is simplified without a decline in the function of the rice cooker, so the cost can be reduced. Installing an inner lid heater 11 near a position where the inner lid 2a which forms part of a lid main body 2 of the rice cooker 1 comes in contact with the inner pot 4 can develop an effect equivalent to that of installing the inner lid heater 11 on the inner lid 2a, and allows washing the lid main body 2 whole.
