PURPOSE: To provide a spindle motor free from eccentric rotation, in which a force is applied for correcting the deviation of a bearing if it is fitted eccentrically to a bush.

CONSTITUTION: A bearing 31 and a spindle base 20 of a spindle motor 12 for a recording/reproducing device are contacted with each other via the surface of an upper mount 32, and the bearing 31 and a back yoke 30 are contacted with each other via the surface of a lower mount 33 too. Also, the contact part of the bearing 31 with the spindle base 20 is made to be an inclined plane 34 whereby the bearing 31 is energized in the opposite direction to the center side of a bush 29.
