PURPOSE: To enable a coated wire to be held without making any positional slip at all within a coated wire holding device used for the wiring step of fine wire.
CONSTITUTION: Within this coated wire holding device 20 composed of first and second holding arms 34, 35, a coated wire is held between the holding parts 39, 40 formed in the first and second holding arms 34, 35. In such a constitution, the holding device 20 is provided with a holding mechanism 32 holding the coated wire as well as a holding arm driving mechanism 36 shut-off driving the first and second holding arms 34, 35 to hold the coated wire. Furthermore, a suction device 37 sucking the coated wire at the holding part 39 through the intermediary of an aperture part 37a formed into the holding part 39 as well as sucking the cut off needless wire to be taken away is provided.
