PURPOSE: To make it possible to uniformly supply water droplets each having a small particle size to a plate cylinder, by arranging a blade for bending a brush rotated while holding dampening water so as to direct the vertical direction of the leading end of the brush to the rotary center of a dampening roller.
CONSTITUTION: A blade 4 for bending a brush 3 holding dampening water 8 is arranged so as to position the center O of a dampening roller 6 on a direction vertical to the leading end thereof when the brush 3 is bent to be released from the blade. In this constitution, by properly regulating the position of a shutter 5, a part with a large particle size among water droplets from the brush 3 is perfectly removed by the shutter 5 and only a water droplet part with a small particle size is collected by the dampening roller 6 to uniformly supply dampening water to a plate cylinder 7.
