Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve traveling stability and traveling performance at the time of traveling on a rough road.
CONSTITUTION: While electromagnetic multiple disc clutches provided in differential gears 9-11 of a four-wheel drive car are auto-mode controlled on the basis of a throttle opening signal θ from a throttle opening sensor 16 and the like, when a rough road traveling state is judged by rough road traveling judge control on the basis of wheel acceleration of right and left front wheels 4a, 4b and the like, a power transmission device is controlled so that fluctuation of an engagement force of the electromagnetic multiple disc clutches is made smaller than that when the state is not judged.
