Abstract:
Chromophoric compounds which contain heterocyclic reactive groups conform to the formula I < IMAGE > where Fc is the radical of a metal-free or metal-containing water-soluble chromophore of the azo, formazan, phthalocyanine, azomethine, oxazine, thiazine, phenazine or triphenylmethane series which may contain an additional fibre-reactive group, and the other symbols are each as defined in Claim 1, and are present as free acid or in salt form. They are used as reactive dyes for dyeing or printing hydroxyl- or nitrogen-containing organic substrates, in particular leather and fibre material consisting of or containing natural or synthetic polyamides or natural or regenerated cellulose the most preferred substrate is textile material consisting of or containing cotton. The dyeings and prints obtained show good allround fastnesses such as good light fastness, wet fastnesses and stability to oxidative effects.
