PURPOSE: To obtain an excellent picture with no miss convergence by forming a vertical deflection coil winding in a staircase shape at the end on an electron gun side screen side by use of an asymmetrical winding inclined obliquely to the center line of the deflection yoke.
CONSTITUTION: A vertical deflection coil 6 is constituted by inserting coil blocks 12 wound on winding bobbins 14 to a core 7, and the winding distribution is made an asymmetrical oblique winding so that, as a whole, the center of gravity of the winding is moved in an arrow direction 8a to the right at an electron gun side in relation to the axial direction of the core 7 and in an arrow direction 8b to the left at a screen side. Furthermore, individual coil blocks 12 are nearly parallelograms, and the winding bobbids 14 contacting the opening end of the core 7 are formed in a staircase shape nearly at a right angle with the wire, thus preventing the wire from being slipped during the winding. Thereby, an excellent picture with no miss convergence caused by distortions can be available.
