Abstract:
PURPOSE:To make a filter as compact as possible and from which a filter medium held in a casing is replaceable. CONSTITUTION:The opening of a closed-end cylindrical casing 1 for holding a filter medium 2 is covered with a setting plate 3. An annular clamp 4 is fitted to the shell part 8 of the casing 1. The inward flange part 4b of the annular clamp 4 is allowed to abut 4 against the shoulder part 9a of a diameter- expanding part 9 formed in the opening side of the casing 1. The ring nut part 4a of the annular clamp 4 is screwed in the male screw part 3c of the setting plate 3. A projection part 18 lengthened in the axial direction is provided on the outside end face in the axial direction of the inward flange part 4b of the annular clamp 4. The annular clamp 4 is turned and tightened by applying a tool to the projection part 18 and the setting plate 3 is combined with the casing 1. Thereby, the maximum outside diameter of a filter capable of replacing the filter medium is made small by providing the projection part for fitting the tool without forming the projection part on the outer circumferential face of the annular clamp.
