Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent the causing of pressed flaw on the surface of a steel strip by removing foreign matter such as rust, etc., contained in the air for cooling in an air jet cooler.
CONSTITUTION: Mesh fences 3 are arranged between the steel strip 1 and air nozzles 2 to remove the foreign matters like the rust, etc., contained in the air for cooling. Further, by spraying water to the mesh fences 3, the air for cooling and cooling water are mixed and injected onto the surface of the steel strip to improve the cooling effect of the steel strip 1.
