Abstract:

PURPOSE:To obtain a fluorenone derivative having promoting action on existence and growth of choline cholinergic neurocyte of central nerve system and protecting action on its disorder. CONSTITUTION:This medicine comprises a fluorenone derivative of the formula [R<1> is H, OH, alkenyl, alkyl, halogen, alkoxy, alkylthio, alkanoyloxy, alkenyloxy, ANR<8>R<9> (R<8> and R<9> are H, alkyl, alkoxycarbonyl-substituted alkyl, pyrimidinyl, pyrazinyl or together with N form 5- to 6-membered saturated heterocyclic ring; A is alkylene), imidazolyl-substituted, alkoxy-substituted alkyl, etc.; R<2> is H, OH, alkenyl, alkyl, halogen, alkoxy, alkanoyloxy, alkenyloxy, ANR<8>R<9>, imidazolyl-substituted, pyridylthio-substituted alkyl, phenyl-substituted alkyl which may contain alkoxy on phenyl ring, etc.] or its salt such as 1,3,6,8- tetrapropyl-2,5-dihydroxyfluorenone derivative as an active ingredient.
