PURPOSE: To contrive to reduce the consumption of fresh water (well water and industrial water), building lot and various expenses by a method wherein the residue of excrements is sprayed to the high temperature zone in the combustion gas of a refuse incinerator.

CONSTITUTION: Residue of excrements and residue of refuse and sewage 25, both of which are stored in a storage tank 11, are fed by means of a spray pump 12 to spray nozzles 15 and 16 arranged in an excrements spray zone 17 in order to be sprayed quantitatively. In this case, the excrements spray zone 17 means a zone ranging from the upper portion of a refuse incinerator 2 to a gas cooling chamber 3. The temperature of combustion gas in the zone 17 is as high as 600W950°C. The combustion gas is cooled down to a predetermined temperature by passing through the gas cooling chamber 3 and smoke dusts and the like in the cooled combustion gas are removed at a dust collecting device 4. After that, the combustion gas passes through a deodorizing device 5 by chemical liquid. Normal acid washing, alkaline oxidizing washing and the like are performed in order to fully remove malodorous substance and the like in the deodorizing device 5.
