Abstract:
PURPOSE:To collect data at a low cost by describing the data with handwritten information by using documents which are used up to now, or sheets prepared by a word processor or the like, inputting the data by an FAX, and directly receiving and recognizing the information by a computer. CONSTITUTION:In a document processor which processes the documents, the content of the sheets is read, the position of a ruled line character is stored from the described content, a handwritten character area is set, and the position is also stored. At the time of an execution, a stored ruled line picture being a reference is searched from picture data inputted from an FAX 202, a position is matched, the ruled line picture in the handwritten character area is erased, and then the recognition of the handwritten character is operated. And also this system is provided with a transmitting means to the FAX 202 which reads the described content, stores the position, and receives and stores an equipment number as the data in order to input the result of a computer processing at the time of a picture input from the FAX 202.
