PURPOSE: To provide the subject apparatus capable of simply aligning a stem of a scion with that of a stock in a nearly concentric shape by arranging both stem guide parts of a pair of upper and lower guide units on nearly the same axis so as to mutually oppose and simultaneously enlarging or narrowing both the stem guide parts.
CONSTITUTION: A pair of upper and lower guide units 65 and 66 are equipped with stem guide parts having a diameter nearly equal to that of the stem and both the stem guide parts are arranged on nearly the same axis so as to mutually oppose. Thereby, both the stem guide parts are simultaneously enlarged or narrowed. A stem (6a) of a stock 6 held by the stem guide part of the lower guide unit is then joined to that of a scion 7 held with the stem guide part of the upper guide unit in nearly a concentric shape at a place of a cut surface of both. The joined stems are fixed with a grafting clip 69, etc.
