PURPOSE: To safely perform the washing work of an apparatus for an overhead power distribution line and cleanly wash the whole apparatus with no residual left behind.
CONSTITUTION: A linear extension boom 7 and an operation chamber 8 are installed on a vehicle 6. A multi-joint manipulator 9 is provided on the linear extension boom 7, and a video camera device 10 and a nozzle 11 are provided on the multi-joint manipulator 9. The whole channel system from a water tank 13 and a pump 15 installed on the vehicle 6 to the nozzle 11 is electrically insulated against the vehicle 6 and the operation chamber 8. A worker operates the operation lever of the linear extension boom 7 in the operation chamber 8, operates the operation lever of the multi-joint manipulator 9 while observing the image near an insulator (apparatus to be washed) 2 photographed by a video camera device 10, and moves the nozzle 11 near to the insulator 2. The worker operates the pump 15 and sprays the water in the water tank 13 from the nozzle 11 to wash the insulator 2. The nozzle 11 can be faced to the insulator 2 from many directions.
